Let’s take a look at the Korean sentence pattern State Verb + 걸 알다. We use this to express that we know something. That that-clause contains a state verb.
Example #1: I know that I am pretty. The main verb is 예쁘다 (to be pretty). We take the verb stem and attach ㄴ 걸 because it ends in a vowel. Then, we add 알다. The actual sentence is 예쁜 걸 알아(요). 걸 is simplified into 거 when speaking.
Example #1: I know that I am short. The main verb is 키가 작다 (to be
short). We take the verb stem and attach 은 걸 because it
ends in a consonant. Then, we add 알다. The actual sentence
is 키가 작은 걸 알아(요).
캐나다가 추운 거 알아.
I know that Canada is cold.
피곤한 거 알아요.
I know that you are tired.
아픈 거 알아.
I know that you're sick.
