Let’s take a look at the Korean sentence pattern Verb + 어때(?). 어때() comes from the verb 어떻다 which means to be how. We use it to ask someone what they think of someone or something. When combined with a verb in its 는 것 form, we are suggesting someone what to do; a form of advice or recommendation.
